How do I use this stuff?
There are many ways to use worm castings — all of them easy. You cannot burn plants with castings, so feel free to be generous.
A few simple ways
Top Dressing
Sprinkle a layer around the surface of your plant and water it in. Do this 1–2 times per year for mature plants.
In the Garden Bed
Mix in about 1 gallon per 50 sq ft, or add a handful or two when transplanting.
Potting Mix Ratio
Best practice is 20–50% worm castings to soil. If your plant isn't fruiting, 10–20% is adequate.
No Such Thing as Too Much
You cannot burn plants with worm castings. A little does go a long way — but more never hurts.
